Foreword From the
Book - by Pastor Lee McDowell
For the
first ten years of ministry, I struggled and
strained to be of help to those who came to
me seeking advice for life's greatest
problems. Even from my seminary studies, I
found I could draw on nothing that really
helped me to deal with the majority of my
members' problems. "Surely God has some
answers," I continued to think.
One day
in 1991, God brought a man into my life who
has become my friend, my brother and my
mentor--especially in Christian counseling.
Beginning with Dr. Joe Allbright's
"Reclaiming the Ground," the simplistic and
yet the depth of counseling helps in this
book will enable every Christian to help one
another and set the captives free.
God has
shown Dr. Allbright the truth and the
application of His Word--that truly does
liberate the bruised, the wounded, the
guilty and the hurting. I stand gladly in
the pulpit and proclaim week after week,
"God has an answer to your every problem."
In a day when almost everyone walking
through the doors of our churches needs
major help, this book takes the Word of God
and applies its absolutes to any problem.
Dr. Allbright gives us numerous
illustrations that that help us put into
practice the principles and biblical
standards of pneuthetic counseling.
This
book is a much needed guidebook for pastors,
counselors, staff members, church leaders
and individual Christians who want to help a
dear brother or sister in Christ to get free
from the bondage into which the enemy has so
securely fastened them. Every Christian who
is enslaved by a stronghold will gladly
shout praises to their Lord for the freedom
and deliverance made available through the
God-ordained ministry of Dr. Joe Allbright
and the pages of LIBERATING THE BRUISED.
